Should people ask to exchange email addresses instead of phone numbers?

This way neither party is inconvenienced by a phone call when they are not expecting it. With email, both men and women can respond when they feel comfortable. Do you think this should be a new dating rule?

I have a problem with trying to figure out the rules as to when it is OK to contact some one, how often to contact them, when to ask for their phone number, etc. Is there some set of rules that I should know about?

I met this cute girl the other day, emailed her a couple days later… She emailed me right back, just a couple hours later. The next day I wrote back again, and now, a couple days later, she hasn’t responded… Could she have lost interest already? Or is two days not long to go without writing once the initial communication has been made?

My BF and I have been emailing for quite a long time due to we are far away from each other now. He used to email me every day. However this has changed recently. He doesn’t reply to my last emails quite often and the other day I get no emails from him too, but after two days he start blaming me that I don’t speak to him.
How should I speak to him if he doesn’t bother to reply me.
What should I do?
I asked him, why he hadn’t replied me, and he always tells me he is busy that day to reply me and I should email him myself.

This guy I met almost 2 years now. We met only two times in person and then he moved so we kept communications by email. First, I emailed him and he replied always. Then, he sent me notes sporadically, but I felt was more polite. Until, I called him and we heard each others voices that we got more personal.

Now, when I email we start doing this back and forth like almost chatting. It was fun. Can we start to develop something here?

Ok I met this girl at the club this weekend, I asked her for her email hoping she would give me her number. Well after her spelling her email address for me several times I finally got it and we left each other with a kiss on the cheek and a smile on each other’s faces. Well Monday I emailed her, I know she probably is playing hard to get, but how long does it usually take a girl to email a guy back?

There is this guy from my online school website who is emailing me. I have been responding for a while, but I don’t really want to keep talking to him cause now he acts like we like each other and I DON’T. Should I just stop emailing him, or should I tell him something, and if I should tell him something what should I say?
