Well, it it’s just a plain bundt cake, I would get a thick paper board cut into a circle (Like plasterboard or something) then in the of the board (plasterboard is usually made of styrofoam) I would add straws by pushing them into the styrofoam so that it doesn’t move about. When you’re putting the cake down, add icing to the bottom so that it doesn’t move around too much, then you have to put fragile everywhere. I would also try to find a cardboard box with a viewing window so that the people who are shipping it will see it’s a cake and be a bit more careful.

Although you might want to make it, as I did before I learned my lesson, I have come to realize that when doing things myself, there are some things better left to the pros. I tried sending a cake to a friend in Maine from California, but let’s just say that all that arrived was a melted mushy mess. Next time I wanted to do the same thing, I found this great site that sends cakes all over the US. They were really helpful and my friend said that her cake arrived perfectly and tasted amazing. Way better than I could do. enjoy!! Post a comment
