In my email I created a separate folder for the emails from my professors, but I don’t know how to make their emails go into that folder automatically. Is it possible?
I know there is a way to move the emails in my inbox o that folder, but is there any way to make them automatically go to that folder?

Go to inbox.

At the top of the page, hit the move to button, after checking off all relative mail.

Name folder.

Done.

Working With Folders

Looking to keep better track of your messages? You’re in luck. Yahoo! Mail folders make it easy to organize those incoming and outgoing messages. You can create your own folders in which to store your messages and even instruct Yahoo! Mail to deliver certain messages to specific folders.

You can create your own personal folders and manage your email further in a way that makes sense to you.

All mail folders, permanent and those you create, appear on the left side of the window, except when you are composing an email message. To open a folder and see its contents, click its name.

I copied the above from Yahoo Help Central…To gain further knowledge click on the link below….once up click on MAIL….then MAIL CLASSIC and look under TUTORIALS…you will see “using folders to organize your email”" click on that…good luck

I think a visit to Yahoo! Help would be helpful:

Yes—-You would have to set up a personal “Filter”, to re-direct incoming mail (from a designated address), to a separate folder, instead of the inbox.

Mail page>>options (top right)>>mail options>>click on “Filters” (on the left)—and click “add”.

It’s pretty much self explanatory, but basically—-you enter (on the from header line) the exact address you want to re-direct—-choose a folder (or make a new one here)—-then click “add filter”.

This tutorial should answer any questions you have about working with filters.
……………………
Filters only redirect “incoming” mail.
Those emails already in your inbox will have to be moved by you.
