Apparently I was reported for a violation yesterday. However, I never received an email from Yahoo saying that I had one. Now, I am not able to refer back to my answer so that I can appeal the violation. The answer has been removed. Anyone else having this problem? How can I get this resolved? I checked my spam email to see if it went there and it was not there.
When I logged in to answers it said I was down 11 pts. When I went to my account details it showed the -10 pts. and then the -2 pts. and I linked back to the question. I never received an email from Yahoo.
I just want to add, this has been happening for a while. Not that I get alot of violations, but it seems probably the last 2 or 3 times I have never received an email from Yahoo. I only find out when I log into answers and it says I am down -10 pts. etc.

How do you know that you got a violation if you got no notice? Did you lose the points? Is the question still open and only your answer is missing? Maybe the question got the violation, not your answer. I’ll check back to see if you have more detail.

EDIT: OK, thanks. That really does seem to be a violation, sorry. I’d wait a few hours, just in case the email is simply being delayed. Check spam again, just in case it still shows up there. If you have ANY details about the question this referred to, try to get a record of it as well as anything you can remember about your answer. Then, if you still don’t get the email, use this LINK to appeal:
and explain in there that NO NOTICE of a violation was received except the ‘alert’ when you signed in. Good luck!

EDIT#2: Can you find an OLD violation notice someplace? Have you saved any? If so, MOVE the notice to your SPAM box, then open it, then mark as NOT SPAM. Sometimes this helps the emails to arrive as they should.

It may be a glitch or so, anyway here is the Yahoo! Answers Appeal Form▼

Perhaps they do not care anymore. This is bad, for you cannot gauge if you are heading for problems

You might want to check your profile to see that the e-mail address listed has not been messed up with a typo. If you have an alternate, try switching it to a non-yahoo e-mail.
